What is Botox?

What is Dermal Filler?

Our skin consists of something called hyaluronic acid. It is what gives our skin its structure and integrity. As we age,  the hyaluronic acid in our skin depletes. This causes deep lines and folds to appear. We use popular brands such as Juvederm, Intraline and Teoxane to refill those areas of lost volume. This allows the face to look younger and more rejuvenated. We can also use filler to change the structure of our face to become more objectively attractive e.g. defining the jawline or straightening the nose.

How long does it last?

You will see the difference straight after the procedure, and it will continue to improve over the next 2 weeks. . The duration of filler varies according to individual factors (age, gender and ethnicity), location of treatment and type of filler. Most dermal fillers will range between 9-18 months. The procedure lasts between 10-30 minutes depending on what area you are having treated and how many mls are being used.

What is Aqualyx?

If you have stubborn areas of fat that will not go away with diet and exercise, Aqualyx is the product for you. Aqualyx consists of a naturally occurring compound called deoxycholic acid that is produced in the body to digest the fatty foods that we eat. We have extracted this deoxycholic acid and use it as the main ingredient in Aqualyx. It is placed via a needle under the skin in areas of excess fatty tissue. The deoxycholic acid dissolves the cell membranes of adipocytes (fat cells). This causes permanent destruction of the fat cells, thereby reducing the appearance of fatty tissue. The other benefit of this treatment is that it is virtually pain-free. 

What areas can Aqualyx be used on?

Aqualyx can be used in almost any area of subcutaneous (under the skin) fat. The most common areas include the double chin, abdomen, love handles, saddle bags, bra rolls, upper arms, knees and thighs.

How long does it last?

You will see the difference in 4-6 weeks. For the best results we recommend 2-3 sessions spread by 4-6 weeks for small areas such as the double chin. For larger areas such as the abdomen, we recommend 3-5 sessions. As this treatment destroys fat cells, the results are permanent as long as you maintain regular diet and exercise. The treatment only takes 20 minutes.

What is Profhilo

As we age, the hyaluronic acid in our skin depletes. Profhilo consists of the highest and purest form of hyaluronic acid, and we inject it directly under the skin’s surface.
